Rachael Wolz
2021 GWWW Wine Judge
Rachael Gomez has spent the last 10 years as an advocate for Texas wines. Working with brands such as Messina Hof, William Chris Vineyards and Pedernales Cellars, Rachael gained insight into all aspects of the wine industry before starting her own branding and consulting business for Texas wineries.
Rachael is a WSET Level 2 in Wine & Spirits. This is her first wine competition judging.

Tessa Butterfield
2021 GWWW Wine Judges
Tessa Butterfield is a wine professional with 10+ years of experience in the industry. She is a Certified Specialist of Texas Wine, as well as holds numerous other wine certifications. She currently works at Piattelli Vineyards out of Argentina and enjoys sharing her love of agriculture through wine.

Kevin and Eliza Knapp
2021 GWWW Wine Judges
Kevin and Eliza Knapp are honored to be included amongst the judges of this years Winter Wine Competition. Oz Coffee Bar carries over 70 house wines from all over the world. The Knapps have visited many of the major wine regions in the US as well as internationally. They have had the privilege of meeting and learning about wine from the winemakers themselves as well as industry experts. Their passion for wine has led them to sponsor many wine events as well as providing formal training for those seeking to increase their love and knowledge of wine. Texas wines are booming and Kevin and Eliza are excited to tour the world of Texas wine!

Chef Mark Hitri
2021 GWWW Wine Judges
Chef Mark Hitri is a chef instructor at The Culinary School of Fort Worth and has worked as a Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef at numerous high ranking restaurants including Saint Emilion, Vidalia’s, and Renaissance Worthington Hotel. Having worked in the culinary industry for over 25 years, Chef Hitri specializes in classic French cuisine, and looks to culinary masterminds such as Daniel Boulud, and Jacques Pepin for inspiration.
