An old rock barn was converted in 2002 into Barking Rocks Winery. Since then, we have been making wine, friends and memories happen in Granbury, Texas. Over the years, Winemaker and storyteller, Tiberia, has stayed true to making Texas wine with Texas grapes, providing them a path to their highest calling. Sissy keeps the operation running smoothly and has a story or two of her own. Ripple, the winery hound and official greeter, is always there to hopefully get a back scratch. We have made some beautiful dry wines, ports and roses and we are excited to share them with you. A visit to Barking Rocks is sure to include wine, a relaxed refuge, a story or two, and perhaps a new friend.

Our philosophy at Barons Creek is to bring you small lots of very fine wine from the best vineyards. We source our grapes from specialty growers throughout Texas, Washington, California and Spain. Whenever possible, we like to ferment as close to the vineyards as possible. We partner with different vintners who ferment according to protocols set up by our winemaker, Russell Smith. This ensures consistent quality for all of our wines. The Texas High Plains is the source of most premium wine grapes in Texas. We get most of our Texas fruit from a long-established grape growing family. Their vineyards are in the southern panhandle area between Brownfield and Lubbock. We proudly feature wines from their Merlot, Viognier, Tempranillo and Vermentino grapes.

Casual Friday Winery is located in Azle, an easy 20-minute drive northwest from Fort Worth.
